- James Edwin Bartleson, 60, of 311 Fauquier St. Died Saturday [23 December] in McGuire’s Veterans Hospital, Richmond.

- Mr. Bartleson, a carpenter, is a veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Leonard F. Pierson of Fredericksburg and Mrs. Haddox W. Sothoron of Marriottesville, Md. and several nieces and nephews.

- A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shady Grove Church Cemetery, Spotsylvania Co.. The Rev. Ellis Lacey will officiate.

- Pallbearers include Edwin B. Constantine, C. B. Sothoron, Clayton H. Foster, Watson B. Finney, Emmett G. Hilldrup, Emory Payne, B. R. Faulconer and James Faulconer.

Bartleson & Annie Pulliam, died at 4:45 P.M. on 23 Dec 1967 at Veterans Administration Hospital, Richmond, Chesterfield Co., VA.  Informant was VA Hospital Records, Richmond, VA.
- Cause of death was Bronchopneumonia due to aspiration of foreign substance, due to Cerebral Thrombosis manifested by posterior inferior cerebrlar artery syndrome.  Contributory were Chronic Atrial Fibrillation, cause unknown; and Chronic Bronchitis.  Certified by Steven A. Bell, M.D. of VA Hospital, Richmond, VA, who had attended his since 20 Dec 1967.
- Arrangements were made by Wheeler & Thompson Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, VA.  Burial was at Shady Grove Cemetery, Spotsylvania Co., VA.
